Growing up, I was very close to my grandparents. On many occasions, I’d eat from the table of their experiences — young people growing up in the South, racial injustices, the importance of a quality education, and never squandering opportunities. Those cherished memories helped shape the diversity, inclusion, and equity advocate I am today. I also recognize the value of inclusion; I am my brother’s keeper. I aim to not only travel this road but to encourage and empower others to take this journey also.
