Regina Riley

I’m inspired by numerous and often unrecognized Black women and educators, like my mother, who’ve worked tirelessly to educate serve our communities. Growing up, I was taught “faith without works is dead.” Fighting for equity, particularly for students of color and students living in poverty, is a part of my work/faith in action. I’m excited to help reimagine and redesign what education can look like in partnership with our young people, families and communities. Though I’m focused on education, I realize this is just a piece of the larger work for justice and collective liberation, and that “we who believe in freedom cannot rest.” (Ella Baker)
