Giselle Allen

Giselle Allen is a seasoned educator with 24 years of experience, having served in various roles including paraprofessional, teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. With half of her career dedicated to bilingual education, she currently holds the position of Assistant Principal of Math and School Culture at DC Bilingual. Giselle is deeply passionate about anti-racism and is particularly focused on addressing anti-Blackness in bilingual educational settings. She completed her undergraduate studies at Hampton University and her graduate work at Trinity Washington University. As a Nexus Fellow, she is honored to deepen her knowledge of all aspects of equity. Giselle’s mission is to create an environment where all students feel a strong sense of belonging, are safe to be their authentic selves, and are encouraged to reach their full potential.
