Mikaela Seligman
Mikaela is a recognized expert in nonprofit leadership development and talent management, with a specialized focus in integrating coaching practices and the adaptive leadership framework. She joined AchieveMission in 2013 and has led client engagements that embed a DEI lens at numerous nonprofits, including in DC, Higher Achievement, Martha’s Table, and The Democracy Fund. Most recently, prior to joining AchieveMission, she was VP for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Leadership at Independent Sector where she built the coalition that designed and hosted the first ever White House Conference on Nonprofit Talent and Leadership. She has taught leadership at the graduate-level in both East and West Coast higher education institutions. Mikaela earned a BS from Boston University, a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School where she was a teaching fellow in Adaptive Leadership with Dr. Ron Heifetz, and a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. Mikaela was in the Charter Corps of Teach for America, and co-founded a Brooklyn-based K-6 charter school in the community in which she taught.
