Raymond Weeden

Raymond A. Weeden, Jr. is Senior Director of Policy and Community Engagement at DC Prep Public Charter School where he leads efforts to organize school stakeholders and serves as an advocate for DC Prep and quality public education throughout the city. Raymond joined DC Prep in 2012 as Principal of the Benning Elementary Campus. From 2008-2012, he served as Principal of Chavez Parkside Middle School, where he led a school on track for charter revocation to Tier Two status based on the DC Public Charter School Board’s Performance Management Framework. During that time he also served on DC Promise Neighborhood Principal’s Council. The council selected and coordinated child and family serving agencies organizations that would work with the four DCPNI schools and neighborhood community. From 2007-2008, Raymond was Resident Principal at SEED Public Charter School.
