John Mein
John Mein serves as the manager of the Community Stabilization Protocol in the Office of the Deputy Mayor of Public Safety and Justice in Washington DC. In this position he is responsible leading the coordination of responses to work with victims and their families that been directly impacted by homicides and non-fatal shootings in the District of Columbia. Prior to coming onboard to the Deputy Mayor’s office, John worked and a community outreach specialist in the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Intelligence Branch of the MPD’s Homeland Security Bureau. John has also worked at the Alameda County Probation Department in Oakland California helping to lead the violence prevention efforts in Oakland serving as the law enforcement liaison to the department and community support providers. John also spent 6 years working at the DC Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services both in it’s secure facilities and with youth in the community. John began his career serving as a youth pastor at a church in Chinatown in Washington DC and is an ordained Baptist Minister and a father of a beautiful 16 month old baby girl.
