Lisa Luceno

Currently Lisa is the Senior Director of Early Childhood Strategy at Briya Public Charter School in DC, a two-generation school for adults and young children that partners with Mary’s Center to provide comprehensive education, health care and social services. Lisa enjoys combining the intersection of constructivist pedagogy in teaching and learning with both adults and young children in a multicultural setting. She has served as a Peace Corps volunteer, taught preschool in a language immersion school, and worked as a program manager, coach, trainer, and director. Her passion for working with dual language learners has been shaped by the stories, dilemmas, creativity, and successes of students, parents, teachers, and colleagues throughout this journey. She holds an M.A. in International Training and Education from American University.
