LaShada Ham-Campbell

La Shada Ham-Campbell is a fourth generation Washingtonian. She is a proud product of DC Public Schools and Howard University. At HU she earned her bachelor and master degree in Educational Psychology. She has a second master's degree in school administration. As a Teach for America Corps member, she taught in Atlanta, GA and returned to Washington, DC to continue her career in teaching. She is an alumnus of New Leaders for New Schools. As an award winning school leader, she gained extensive experience serving a PS-8th grade principal in both DC Public Schools and DC Public Charter Schools. She discovered her passion as the leader of an early childhood educational program, Petit Scholars. Petit Scholars expanded from one location to six in the span of a decade and is beloved program in the Washington, DC. As the founder and owner, she also works with community leaders to improve the educational outcomes and safety for the youngest residents in the city.
