Heather Edelman

I currently serve as Chief of Staff in the Office of Councilmember David Grosso. I am not an ambitious person and prefer to serve in roles in which I can help other people feel supported and do their best work. I did this as a stay-at-home mom for many years despite my fancy education. Before that, serving as a City Year volunteer after college and working as a reporter covering local government shortly thereafter, I developed a desire to help make communities better for the people who live in them. Finally I returned to full time work as a receptionist at the DC Council, and now in my current role I try to help the people in my office be prepared to serve DC residents as best they can every day.
