DeAnna McCall

A native from Boston Massachusetts, Ms. McCall came to the DC area in August 2002 to attend Howard University and received her Bachelors in Biology in May 2006. Ms. McCall had intentions of going to Medical School as a means to help people, however opted to pursue work in the Social Services Profession. As such, she graduated from Howard University School of Social Work with her Masters in May 2008. Since graduating, Ms. McCall has acquired 13 years of experience in the realms of Case Management, Intensive Home Based Counseling, as well as Parenting Support in the community and school setting. Ms. McCall joined the staff of Washington School for Girls in July 2015 as the Family Relations Coordinator. Within this role, she serves as the liaison between students, parents, teachers and administration to communicate concerns and develop a plan of action to effectively address the needs so that the student is able to be successful in her academic career at WSG. Since January 2019, Ms. McCall also oversees Recruitment, as the Director of Recruitment and Family Relations. Within this capacity, she has been able to expand her desire for research at the onset of student's acceptance into WSG. This includes tracking student's academic progress, the development of student support goals while providing students with intervention support via Saturday School and in home interventions through using learning apps to undergird this goal.
