Dara La Porte

I serve as Co-Founding Director of An Open Book Foundation. Before founding An Open Book Foundation in 2010, I was the manager of the children and teens department at a Politics and Prose bookstore. My first career was teaching middle school social studies and English in Philadelphia and New Haven, CT. I have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren, one of whom is transgender, and for whom I would like to make the world a safe place. 

Dara is Co-Founding Director of An Open Book Foundation.
