Melissa Baiyewu
Melissa Baiyewu has over fifteen years’ experience in public health advocacy, community health education, medical and clinical research environment. Throughout her career, she has worked to develop, implement, and evaluate culturally appropriate health initiatives that positively impact population health outcomes for communities in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Melissa currently serves as Program Manager Health Promotion and Disease prevention within the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children's National Hospital, where she leads the organization's community health improvement planning process and oversees initiatives to advance health equity through transformative education, essential partnerships and policy and systems change. Trained as a public health professional, she holds degrees in Public and Community Health, Health Care Administration and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Melissa serves as Program Manager Health Promotion and Disease prevention within the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children's National Hospital.
