Tracie Dow

Currently Principal at Friendship PCS Southeast Academy, I am entering my twenty-first year in education. I am considered a highly qualified instructor and have obtained two Master's degrees in both Elementary Education and Education Administration. I have taught both elementary and middle school grades. I was also an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal for several years before transitioning into my principalship. 

Aside from the work of educating and nurturing children, I am a mom of an 18- year old son, Drew. Much of my work is influenced by him. I am a native Washingtonian and LOVE everything about DC and its culture. I am an avid sports fan; I love to watch live sports and root on my favorite teams: The Washington Nationals and Washington Capitals. I am an only child but have lots of extended family through lifelong friendships. Education is truly my calling and I feel grateful each day to do this work.
