Ashley Peel

My name is Ashley Kerri Peel, and I currently serve as Principal of KIPP DC Grow Academy. I am a Bronx native that has resided in the DMV area for 12 years. I am a Posse scholar that transitioned to DC in 2011 to become a Kindergarten teacher. I fell in love with education and have been in the work since. I am passionate about the education that we provide to black and brown children is empowering, loving, and high quality. I am a wife, dog mom, sister, daughter, and friend. In my free time, I lead poetry writing workshops within the DMV.
