Marielys Garcia

Marielys Garcia is the Regional Chief Staff for Rocketship DC. In her role, she maximizes the capacity, effectiveness and productivity of the Rocketship DC regional executive leadership and regional team to unleash potential of all three Rocketship DC campuses by supporting strong student achievement and engagement. Marielys began her career as a high school teacher and has remained committed to the work of educational equity for the last 17 years, serving as an educator, school leader and nonprofit executive, with a focus on coaching, capacity building/ professional development, school culture and program management. Marielys holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Teachers College- Columbia University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from American University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University.
