Dawit Girma
Dawit Girma moved from Ethiopia to the United States at the age of nine. He is currently a senior at Jackson-Reed High School in Washington, DC. His experience coming from the eastern part of Africa where health inequity persists has elucidated the gravity of socioeconomic disparities in healthcare. His passion for medicine has led him to become a research assistant at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a global citizen and an aspiring physician, Dawit aspires to be part of the stride in global health that is being made to find a better way to foster innovative solutions and improve the delivery of healthcare itself.
