Anika Campbell
As an immigrant woman of color, I am motivated by the concept of emotional justice as a healing resource for communities of color. With this framework, I work passionately to dismantle social and systemic inequities from their roots, and implement the healing liberation efforts necessary to advance equity. My interests span many facets of BIPOC communities and the myriad ways in which organizations have historically clashed with them through harmful policies, practice and culture. Throughout my career, I have experienced first-, second-, and third-hand trauma as a result of inequity, and am thus determined to dismantle the systems and ideals that uphold pervasive anti-Black practices in the workforce. Through direct supports such as affinity healing groups, I believe that emotional justice can be an effective tool in challenging harmful workplace norms.
