My calling and conviction to serve towards racial equity and social justice is primarily rooted in my own personal and professional experiences as a Black woman, navigating racism daily and struggling out of poverty. The entire fabric of this country and every institution therein is threaded by systemic racism, and white supremacy. Therefore, it is designed to create and perpetuate racial disparity and injustice. As an education results strategist, I am clear that my intentionality must be towards addressing and dismantling systemic racism – aiming to achieve racial equity in education. It is my moral imperative and professional strategy.
