Maureen Wright

Growing up, my mom had “si quieres la paz, lucha por la justicia” as a bumper sticker on her car. This mantra guided my upbringing and led me to my career as a teacher, a coach, and an educational leader. As I grew, I realized that good intentions are not enough; systemic forces are designed and upheld to prevent so many from living to their fullest potential. As a white woman, it is essential that I do the work to dismantle and disrupt white supremacy and institutionalized racism in myself and in our society, for our children and for our future.
