Maya Martin
Maya Martin is a proud 5th generation Washingtonian who lives in DC’s Ward 6 and is the founder and Executive Director of PAVE (Parents Amplifying Voices in Education), an organization that works to reimagines DC’s education system to be created WITH parents and not just for them. In November 2015, Maya became an Entrepreneur in Residence with NewSchools Venture Fund as she worked to found PAVE in April of 2016. Previously, Maya served as the Chief of Staff at Achievement Prep, as the Director of Policy and Special Programs at Center City PCS, as a Sr Program Manager at SEO (Sponsors for Education Opportunity), and as an Asst Director of Admissions at Dartmouth College. Maya received a bachelor’s in Sociology & History from Dartmouth College and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
