Robyn Lingo
Robyn brings over 15 years of youth empowerment, non-profit management, curriculum development and youth facilitation experience to her role as Chief of Strategy and Impact for Mikva Challenge. In this role, she guides the work in Mikva Challenge's two chapter sites (DC and IL) in achieving their mission to embed youth voice and youth civic leadership in multiple institutions and decision making entities throughout the city/state. Prior to this role, Robyn was the Executive Director for Mikva Challenge DC.
A native of the Washington, DC area, Robyn is passionate about providing authentic spaces for youth to investigate, affect and change the world around them. Working locally, Robyn has served as the Deputy Director at For Love of Children (FLOC), as the Program Director of the DC office of The Posse Foundation and as an Academic Case Manager with Project Northstar. Through her work with the KIPP Foundation and the Children’s Defense Fund, she has also worked on a national scale, providing curriculum, resources, training and support to local affiliates to develop and improve their educational and youth programming.
Robyn earned a BA from Grinnell College in American Studies and an M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Social Justice Education.
