Nathaniel Beers

Nathaniel is the President and CEO of the HSC Health Care System. Prior to joining HSC a year ago, he served in a variety of roles at DC Public Schools including Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Specialized Instruction, and founding Executive Director of Early Stages. He is a general and developmental pediatrician who still sees patients at Children's National Health System, where he was the Medical Director of the Children's Health Center at CNMC. He also served as the Deputy Director of Policy and Programs in the Community Health Administration at the DC Department of Health as well as multiple Mayoral-appointed committees. He is actively involved in the American Academy of Pediatrics at the local and national level, including a current appointment on the Executive Committee of the Council on School Health.
