My DC career began 15 years ago as a preschool teacher, later infant- toddler administrator at the World Bank Children’s Center, a high quality, NAEYC-accredited program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. This set the foundation for taking different paths in the District's early childhood field, including as a Core Leader of Teaching for Change’s Early Childhood Equity Initiative, as National Council of La Raza's Early Childhood Coordinator, and as a Senior Teaching and Learning Facilitator for a Georgetown University early literacy study. Before joining the Mary's Center team to lead the QIN work, I was with DC Public School's Early Childhood team, planning and managing the initial rollout of the Head Start School-Wide Model and supporting instructional specialists that coached in Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms with Dual Language models.
