Kimberly Barrett

Kim Barrett has worked at DC Public Schools since 2011 and is currently the Chief of Staff, Social Emotional & Academic Development (SEAD). In this role, she serves as a thought partner to the Deputy Chancellor, helps foster collaboration across offices, and manages budgeting, operations, and hiring for SEAD. Prior to assuming her current position, she served in the Office of Equity as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Leadership Development Division and spent several years in human capital on the School Leader Recruitment and Selection and Principal Effectiveness teams. Kim holds a bachelor's degree in History & International Relations from Hendrix College and a master's degree in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University.
