Ahnna Smith

I currently serve as Executive Director of the DC Workforce Investment Council. I have committed my life to public service and to expanding opportunity for those most in need, under-loved, and marginalized in my community. Through my experiences in the public and non-profit sectors, I have worked to bring together diverse groups and individuals to develop and implement solutions to the pressing issues of our time: for most of my career that focus was on K-12 public education; most recently I have shifted to a focus on workforce development—connecting employers, education providers, and government leaders to better support DC residents along their pathways to economic independence.
