I was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended Stanford University where I majored in Urban Studies with a focus in Urban Education. After working as a community organizer for the Obama campaign in northern New Mexico, I moved to Washington, DC where I taught PK3 in the city’s inaugural year of having PK3 as a grade. After teaching both early childhood and early elementary grades at KIPP DC, I’ve spent the past six years being a vice principal at both the early childhood and elementary school level. I’ve spent the last four years as a the vice-principal at KIPP DC: Promise Academy one of the top performing elementary schools in the city.
