Vivian Robledo
Dra. Robledo has spent most of her career working in public education. She was with the Bethlehem Area School District (BASD) in Pennsylvania for over 20 years working in various roles: school counselor, assistant principal, principal, Supervisor of Student and Community Engagement, and Director of Student Services and Minority Affairs. Prior to the BASD, she worked as an HIV and AIDS counselor with the City of Bethlehem Health Bureau, an Admissions Counselor/Latino School Liaison at East Stroudsburg University, Human Resources with the City of New York, and as a College & Career Counselor at Roosevelt Jr/Sr High School on Long Island. She is now the Executive Director of The Next Step/El Proximo Paso Public Charter School in Washington, DC.
Along with her current position, Dra. Robledo is an Adjunct Professor for East Stroudsburg University teaching a course on Classroom Diversity and serves on various committees and projects, such as Lehigh Valley Community Foundation’s Project Equity, the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s Fund for Racial Justice and Equity, and Lehigh University’s Institute for Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. Her doctoral dissertation is titled, “Race talk and culturally proficient leaders: A convergent parallel mixed-method research design.”
Dra. Robledo is the Executive Director of The Next Step/El Proximo Paso Public Charter School.
