Chip Chase
Chip Chase, Chief Technology Officer, provides leadership in identifying, assessing and managing technology needs for Capital City Public Charter School, a high performing and diverse PK-12 school of choice. Chip has 20 years of experience working in K-12 schools, focusing on innovation, educational technology integration, libraries, and information management.He has a Master of Science in Library Science, a Certificate in Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland College Park. Chip is a 2016 Citybridge Education Innovation Fellow, a yearlong program that introduces teacher leaders to the most promising practices in personalized learning. In collaboration with his Library team, he led his school to be a CTE Makeover Challenge winner in order to build a makerspace at Capital City PCS. He was a co-founder and lead steering committee member of Edcamp MetroDC from 2013-2019, a 4.0 Schools Essentials Fellow in 2017, a Google Certified Innovator (LAX18) in 2018, and a TILT Forward Fellow in 2020, which was a leadership fellowship for managers seeking to develop diverse and inclusive workspaces.
