Jennifer Comey

Jennifer Comey is a senior policy professional with 20+ years of experience focused on place-based efforts to improve the quality of life for low-income communities. Policy areas include educational planning, demographics and population, and neighborhood and youth indicators. As Director of Planning and Analysis at the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME), Jennifer leads a team who analyzes the needs of Washington, DC’s public school system, manages the analysis of the DME’s initiatives, and contributes to agency operations like budget development via enrollment projections. Previously, Jennifer was a Senior Research Associate in the Metropolitan Housing and Communities Center at the Urban Institute and was Deputy Director of NeighborhoodInfo DC. When not working, Jennifer is an avid bike commuter, dedicated urban composter and gardener, and proud mom of DCPS graduates.
