Kelli is the Chief Talent & Equity Officer at iMentor with a track record of serving youth, communities, and urban education systems in Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., and New York City. She received her undergraduate degree from Howard University and her J.D. from Tulane Law School. Following law school, Kelli worked as a law clerk for two years in Minneapolis. During that time, she focused her sights on tackling critical community issues before launching her non-profit career with the Children's Defense Fund. Kelli went on to develop and manage youth programs for the National Black Child Institute and the Harlem Community Justice Center. Drawing on more than a decade of experience with organizations including New Leaders for New Schools and the NYC Department of Education, Kelli honed her skills in recruitment and selection, human resources, and partnership development. From 2008-2013, Kelli was a staff member at Education Pioneers. She spent her first 3 years as Managing Director of the New York/New Jersey office. In 2011, Kelli transitioned into the role of Vice President, Human Assets for the organization. During her tenure, she led several initiatives and developed key organizational strategies focused on performance management, internal talent recruitment, diversity and inclusion, and organizational culture building.
