Maria-Jose Carrasco

Maria-Jose Carrasco serves as Chief of Staff of the Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School (LAMB PCS), a Tier 1 elementary school in the District of Columbia. Prior to joining LAMB, Maria-Jose spent eighteen years at the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest mental health organization in the country. At NAMI, Maria-Jose led national multicultural mental health efforts. She was recognized for her advocacy and public education efforts with various awards including the 2009 Award for Excellence in Hispanic Advocacy and Leadership from the National Resource Center for Hispanic Mental Health, the National Award for Leadership in Advocacy for LGBT Mental Health by the National Mental Health Consumers'  Self-Help Clearing House, and Certificates of Recognition from the National Hispanic Medical Association in 2015  and 2016. Maria-Jose received her Masters in Public Administration, nonprofit management concentration,  from George Mason University and her B.A. in Political Science from Truman State University in MO.

Maria-Jose Carrasco is Chief of Staff for Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School.
