Carina Gervacio
Carina Gervacio has 13 years of experience teaching, building, and managing operations for community-based youth programs and food education programs in DC and internationally. She specializes in working with diverse older youth (14-24) populations, building and scaling organizational infrastructure, crafting curriculum based on experiential learning and youth development best practices, managing evaluations and communications in the social services space, and using food as a tool to build community. She currently serves as the FoodCorps' DC Metro Area Program Director. In this role, she manages the process of co-creating a local equity vision and implementation strategy that reflects schools, service members, and community needs and centers DC's BIMPOC and minority leaders.
